Latest news from Edward Snowden, famous figure whose leaking NSA illegal spying program, is socking enough, at interview he saying will back to America and will facing possibility go to jail for his action revealing US "dirty" secrets to public. So why Snowden prefer back America rather than stay at Russia with his "little freedom" ?


Life in Russia it seems not Edward Snowden favorite choice, however if back to his own country, America, Snowden will be charges as traitors because leaking America secrets spying program which causing world anger, and make international trust to America decreasing alot. And big possibility he will go to jail because his action

“I’ve volunteered to go to prison with the government many times. What I won’t do is I won’t serve as a deterrent to people trying to do the right thing in difficult situations.” 

he said.

In interview with The Washington Post, Ben Wizner, an ACLU lawyer representing Snowden, confirmed that,

“He’s said from the beginning that he does not intend to plead guilty to felonies as a result of his act of conscience.”

An issue about deal between Snowden team and US to softening charges, float on media. This deal included one felony count and three to five years of jail time. This discussion for now seems are tempting deal for Snowden representative team. However according espionage law, Snowdent could get much more longer jail time, and perhaps for rest of his life.

“The Espionage Act finds anyone guilty who provides any information to the public, regardless of whether it is right or wrong. You aren’t even allowed to explain to a jury what your motivations were for revealing this information. It is simply a question of, ‘Did you reveal information?’ If (the answer is) yes, you go to prison for the rest of your life.”

Snowden are remain thorn for White House, but he is a hero for privacy, because his action world now concern more about privacy, and trigger development of technology and encryption system to protect private data from spying, much more better.
